Learn to let go.

As you grow up, you realize that sometimes it’s just better to let go. Let go of certain people, some said words that bother you, and situations that make you feel unwanted or just simply sad. With time, I’ve realized that it’s always better to just pass a smile and move on, rather than choosing to react at that moment, and make things worse. Sometimes, it’s just advisable to tell yourself to calm down at times when you are literally about to burst into a million pieces inside, waiting to scream, waiting to say something back, just to make sure you’re not targeted ever again, or so that the other person believes you aren’t that weak a person. Is it so?
“If you want to forget something or someone, never hate it, or never hate him/her. Everything and everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate.”
Someone very close once told me “Don’t utter a word when you’re really angry at someone or something, wait for yourself to cool down, and then think over it, before you react.”
Such simple advice, but it carries so much strength. And there’s no harm in running over this exercise, it’s a win-win for you either way,  trust me!
“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”
I’ve learned that sometimes it’s okay to not hold grudges against anyone, no matter how much you want to let that person know what you feel. Like I always say, life is really too short to dislike anyone at all. It’s better to spend that same amount of time loving someone and spreading smiles, howsoever!
Everyone around here is fulfilling a purpose in life, some are studying hard to get a great paying job, some are working hard to run their house and take care of their family, some are slogging daily to get into their dream college, to get a secure job, to buy a bigger house and to let their parents finally live a peaceful retired life relaxing at home with all the luxuries they deserve!
“Everyone is fighting a battle, we know nothing about, but it’s always good to keep the positivity around yourself constant and contagious!”
Till the time the world is blessed with your existence, keep doing what you love doing, but add something more to it, add some value, that’ll make you smile whenever you’d think of it. It’ll make the others smile when you’d tell them about it. Make sure you don’t upset anyone, and if you do, go apologize and make them smile right away! If you have some free time, don’t waste that time sleeping extra, sitting idle, or posting pictures on social media. Instead, offer a helping hand to someone who could be benefited from it. Go distribute some of your old clothes to the poor, go teach the nearby village kids, contribute a part of your earnings to feed the poor, play with the underprivileged and let them know how it feels to win, share some of your life stories with them that could give them some kind of inspiration and drive to make their lives worth it, and you’d gradually realize that whatever you chose to do, you’ll find yourself smiling ear to ear, knowing that you could spread some positive vibes and smiles around, without much of a hassle! See, it’s not that difficult after all. Why don’t you give it a shot? Plan it today, and execute it.
“Some people believe holding on and hanging in are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.”
I hope you promise yourself this second onward, that you’d live your life a lot better than you did before, and do the reverse of all the things you did wrong!
The times you probably reacted in the worst possible way, try facing that same situation with a smile on your face, and spend the rest of the day happily, without worrying a bit!
The truth is none of us will ever be fully satisfied with the lives we’re living, the people we are associated with and the number of successes life throws at us! There’s always something or the other in our lives that holds the power to pull us back and in turn, makes us believe that our life isn’t perfect enough. Well, who’s looking for perfection when you can enjoy the imperfections and still manage to plant a smile on your face and spread the same for a change? Why are we always running after temporary things in life when there are bigger and more enjoyable motives in life to fulfill? You have this one life, now decide, do you want to live this life being tagged as a cunt, as someone who holds grudges against others for petty or not-so-petty issues, as someone who’s wasting so much time being unhappy, as someone who’s running behind something just like the remaining other billion people, or you’d rather add some value to the limited years you’re here for, and build something great out of it, and turn it into something more vibrant and meaningful, and feel happy and thankful for your existence? Oh come on, you know what you want now.
A star falls from the sky and into your hands. Then it seeps through your veins and swims inside your blood and becomes every part of you. And then you have to put it back into the sky. And it’s the most painful thing you’ll ever have to do and that you’ve ever done. But what’s yours is yours. Whether it’s up in the sky or here in your hands. And one day, it’ll fall from the sky and hit you in the head real hard and that time, you won’t have to put it back in the sky again.
Now go forgive someone, show some love, make people around you smile, go and help the needy, go and get some blessings from the elderly, do something valuable, make this one life that you have completely worth your purpose of existence!
